Social Media Intern between October-December for Exeter University’s Heritage Collections

Implemented a social media marketing campaign for the 2014 Funraisers Dragon Boat Festival, a two-day event with over 4000 spectators which raised approximately £90,000 for 50 charities

Wrote an article on the value of coding skills for The Guardian, communicating with UK-based tech firms and non-profits as part of my research

Created for the first time a social media marketing strategy for Funraisers Dragon Boat Festival, using Twitter, Google+, Pinterest and Facebook to increase awareness of the charity event

Spent three busy weeks on the family farm at lambing time, overseeing a lambing shed with 800 sheep

Created and responsible for implementing a marketing and copywriting strategy for Tripobox, a Barcelona-based travel startup


Participated in NaNoWriMo 2012, a challenge to complete a novel during the month of November, for which I used a trip to St Ives as my starting point


Translated León Felipe’s Ganarás la luz to English for the first time to increase awareness of the poet


Achieved the ‘v50’ award for 50 hours of volunteering, mentoring a dyslexic student with reading and writing

Achieved the Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award, redesigning the local youth club garden as voluntary work and participating in a three day expedition across the South Downs


Raised £2500 to travel to Malawi, climb Mount Mulanje and volunteer in a community school

Achieved the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award, volunteering in a local veterinary surgery for three months and participating in a two day expedition around the Ashdown Forest area
